Where I Belong

(Rough Draft)

Cry of the daylight
Of the newborn sun
Across the fields
The day has only just begun

The flutter of the...
Gently rising from the land
...of pearls
Untouched by greedy hands

And beauty lies in the struggle to survive
...no need for sacrifice

As I sit here stuck on Highway 95
I get a little nervous
Watchin' time rushing by

So when you take
Me to the place
Where(?) I can wash away
This world we've made

In my life
I call my own
That's the place
Where I belong
Yes, that's the place
Where I belong

...question
...
It's all over, babe
Let go of the dawn

That's when I drift away
In search of something else

And beauty lies in the time I spend with you
Dry season's over
I've got nothing left to lose

Then as the rain comes down on Highway 95

And you take
Me to the place
Where I can wash away
This world we've made

In my life
I call my own
That's the place
Where I belong

And I
Get a little nervous
Watchin' my life pass me by

...
Ooo, that open sky over me(?)
Just tryin' to be free
I'm not lookin' for...
I'm just tryin' to start again

So can you take me
To the place
Where I can wash away
This world we've made

In my life
I call my own
That's the place
Where I belong

That's the place
Where I belong

That's the place
Where I belong

That's the place
Where I belong

'Cause that's the place
That's the place
Where I belong!

Where I belong

Where I belong!
